Michael Polyviou // Managing Member

With more than 25 years of investor relations and corporate communications experience across a broad spectrum of industries, Michael became Managing Member of EVC Group LLC in 2018 and leader of the firm’s nationwide network of senior specialists. Prior to his position as Senior Vice President at EVC Group, he was a Senior Vice President in Hill & Knowlton’s New York Corporate and Financial Communications Practice; was a Co-Founder and Partner of Capital C Partners, a strategic communications consultancy and a Senior Vice President at FD (now FTI Consulting). He began his professional career on Wall Street with Lehman Brothers.

Doug Sherk // Founder

In 2002 Doug founded EVC Group Inc. to focus on creating communication programs that generated tangible results for a select number of companies. In addition to EVC Group, his more than 30 years of experience include CEO of West Coast Operations of one of the largest global communications companies, Morgen-Walke Associates; founder of RedChip Partners, the corporate services division of RedChip.com affiliated with Roth Capital Partners; and founder of GCI Financial, the investor relations practice within GCI Group, a subsidiary of Grey Advertising.

Jim Byers // Investor Relations Specialist

Jim brings a wealth of experience with more than 20 years of investor relations and financial markets experience. He has provided strategic counsel and created investor relations programs generating significant tangible results for companies in a variety of industries including healthcare, business services, technology, telecommunications and basic industry. He has been honored as a SABRE award recipient in recognition of superior achievement in investor relations program development. Jim also served as a Vice President with the investor relations firm, Financial Dynamics, for nearly nine years. Prior to that he was an institutional fixed income executive with Rauscher Pierce Refsnes and was a writer for Time magazine.

Matthew Haines // Investor Relations Specialist

Matt more than 30 years of investor relations, media relations, and corporate communications experience in biotech, medical device and molecular diagnostics companies. His agency experience includes consulting with senior management teams in areas of business strategy and messaging as well as investor and analyst outreach and shareholder relations. Matt also has served as head of investor relations and corporate communications at several publicly traded biotech companies.

Todd Kehrli // Investor Relations Specialist

Todd brings a unique combination of legal and investor relations experience.  Over the past 19 years Todd has specialized in working with micro-cap and small-cap companies providing investor relations counsel and strategy. Todd has built significant working relationships with many of the leading analysts on both the buy-side and sell-side. Todd specializes in the marketing of micro-cap and small-cap companies to institutional investors. Todd also acted as a Business Litigation Associate specializing in the representation of financial institutions, including complex commercial litigation and insolvency issues. Todd is an active member of the California State Bar. Prior to practicing law, Todd worked in the San Francisco Office of Morgen-Walke Associates assisting in the handling of client accounts and corporate communications.

Brian Moore // Investor Relations Specialist

Brian is a trusted advisor and partner to his clients with more than two decades of strategic communications and capital markets expertise.  Throughout his career he has served as a lead sell-side analyst; an in-house business development, corporate finance and investor relations professional for a Fortune 500 issuer; and a buyside equity analyst.  Based in southern California, Brian is recognized by clients for his strategic counsel, messaging advice, investor targeting expertise and the development and execution of best-practice communications programs.  Brian is a graduate of The College of New Jersey and The New York University Stern School of Business.

Thomas D. Gibson // Media Specialist

Tom has more than 30 years of experience in media relations and project management.  He was an Associate Director in the corporate communications department at the global accounting firm KPMG LLP. While at KPMG, Tom implemented strategic media relations programs to introduce new audit, consulting and advisory services products, securing regular placements in top tier media outlets. Tom directed the firm’s national and international media relation efforts for several key industries, including automotive, alternative investment and funds (mutual funds, hedge funds and private equity), banking, investment banking, insurance, healthcare and real estate. Tom also served as Public Relations Director for Financial World and Corporate Finance magazines.

Lauren Timen // Media Specialist

Lauren specializes in senior level consulting work which includes media relations and corporate communications strategy development. With a deep understanding of national, business and trade media, Lauren brings extensive experience managing national and international communications campaigns for a diverse range of clients. Past client coverage includes garnering visibility for clients ranging from CNBC’s Mad Money to Squawk Box, Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine and New York Times.  Lauren has held senior positions in New York and San Francisco at Ogilvy Public Relations, Financial Dynamics (now FTI Consulting), OutCast Communications and Ruder Finn. She has also been recognized by PR Week as finalist for best financial/investor communications campaign for their work with Symyx Technologies.

Libby M. Roberge // Media & Marketing Specialist

Libby has more than 20 years of public relations, corporate communications and marketing experience. Libby’s expertise includes internal communications, media relations and C-Suite consulting. In addition to holding senior positions at several agencies, Libby also served as Director of Public Affairs for the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA), an international trade association representing more than 4,000 manufacturers of store brand products. Most recently, Libby was the Director of PR for the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the largest professional organization with more than 30,000 members serving the communications community.
